Cruise control intermittent

Post by Pilotpeat »

Anyone got an easy fix for the cruise control switch on the steering wheel being sticky? When I first picked the car up a week ago it seemed to work pretty good. Now it takes a couple dozen tries and I can get it to set and it will cancel fine but won't really accel/speed up. It feels really "soft" like maybe the switch is just dirty or something.

Not sure where you are at, but mine does that in the winter - I've heard it from others as well. It must have something to do with moisture or the cold, in my case at least. Summertime, it works great! I'm not too concerned, since c/c in the snow isn't much use anyway! Good luck........

I think I figured out how to make it work somewhat consistantly. If I just barely move the control on the steering wheel I can turn it on & control it. If I push the control too far it doesn't work.
