The BEST SECURITY SYSTEM for your Baja

Post by Snorkeled »

Well since I had my Baja broken into reacently I have been doing alot of research on what would make it harder for a regular thief to break into it :-) I found what I was looking for, LLumar Security Window Film.. I am going to go with the 10m film for extra protection. But watch and at the same time think of the window being your Baja window.

Definitely worth it to keep your things in the car, but I've got a question about it:

How does it affect being able to break the window from the inside to get out should you find yourself sinking in water (I live near lots of water and icy roads).

Yeah your pretty much going to die unless you can wait till the car fills completely up with water so you can open the door . . . Thats all I can really say lol. O yeah a little news update. Did some more research, I am having a place local install 14mil 400 Micron Security Armor Film on all windows.

As an EMT, Fireman, and having experience in national security overseas I have firsthand experience with the benefits of even regular mylar window tinting. Simply having the lightest shade of aftermarket window tint film can prevent window glass from exploding in an accident. The heavier films actually give a good degree of protection from breakage and small projectile entry.

Impressive-looking videos. Does the film perform as well when the window is forced _properly_? (only an idiot tries to break windows that way)

I am having tinted film installed on my house windows, as I type this. Not worried about drowning, though...

That stuff is insane! I wonder if you have to remove the tint I already have on my front windows. I would say so. Sorry to hear your Baja got broken into though man :-(
