Looking to buy... Sport vs. Turbo

Post by Corrynd2112 »

Looking to buy an '06 with under 100k miles.

I've had bad experiences with Turbo cars in the past. Asking for opinion from the crowd here. Are there any major issues with the Turbo Baja's over the Sport. Looking to keep the car for the next 5 years or so and reliability is my main concern.

Never owned and Subaru before but I have had a "cruck"... Dodge Rampage anyone?

My personal car is an '03 NA. I've had it 2 years and LOVE the car, get a lot of use out of it, but unfortunately it is a gutless wonder. Around town and cruising on the highway is fine, but any time you want to "get-up-and-go", you can forget about it. I've ridden in mini-vans faster than this thing . The turbo version is supposed to be much much better performance-wise (I've never ridden in one). I have not heard of any significant maintenance differences with the turbo over the NA. I'm sure it all would depend on the previous owner and if they beat the car or not. I've never had, or prob never will own a turbo car because of the increased complexity and more things to go wrong. Plus the simple fact that knowing the turbo is there would most likely make me want to use it (aggresively) :D, which is not good for longevity. Overall my impression is that if Subies (turbo & NA) are taken care of & shown a little TLC, they should last you a long time...

Peace! [smilie=666.gif]
