A little car background first, of course. I just sold my 2008 Legacy GT and replaced it with a 2011 Outback 2.5i. My wife and I are starting a family, so we needed something larger, and couldn't afford to keep the LGT and get the Outback. I am currently driving her '06 Hyundai Elantra
The upside is that it only has 46k on it and still has the factory warranty, runs great (for a Hyundai
) and won't need any major maintenence for a while. The downside is... well it's a Hyundai and an automatic. I miss my 5spd LGT.I'm in the processing of finding an affordable replacement for the Elantra. I have it narrowed down to three options.
1.) '08-'11 Impreza
2.) '05/'06 Saabaru 9.2x
3.) a Baja.... which brings me here.
I'm just looking for some owner feedback on what to look for / avoid when shopping for a Baja. The Outback is my 4th Subaru, so the Baja would be #5. Is the 2.5L Turbo the same that was in my LGT?
I think I want to stick to a 2.5i, I just don't want the worries of a turbo. I loved the performance of my LGT, but financially I didn't like the "what if" creeping up on 90k of a turbo.
I have a short, but specific, list of must haves. I don't know the Baja well yet, so let me know if any of these aren't possible.
1.) MT
2.) Sunroof
