Headlight problem - need help

Ok so the drivers side running light / headlight had gone out. So I figured that it was just out, bought a new bulb, plugging it in and nothing. Still the same issue. Oddly enough the high beam light still works. I checked the wiring harness, everything is connected, nothing is loose. I checked the fuses and nothing looks blown. Not sure where to go from here, I do not want to go to a dealership and have them charge me and arm, leg, and a couple of fingers if it happens to be an easy fix. Any insight would be appreciated.

I'd say you just have a bad wire/rubbed off insulation or something, and the first thing I'd do is run a continuity test in segments of the wiring harness that you can isolate. run each wire visually, check for breaks/cracks/rubbing?

I will check that but would this still be the case even if the hi beam still works but the low beam does not?

Yes, because you might notice there are three wires going to the headlight bulb. A ground, low beam, and high beam.
