Seat Upgrade to Get rid of Center Console in Back Seat

If you go to this forum and scroll down, you can see that the Legacy/Outback seat fits perfectly in the Baja, and does not have that annoying center console, so I can fit 3 people in the back seat. Now, given this, I definitely think I want to upgrade the seats.

According to that forum posting, 2000-2004 Subaru Legacy/Outback seats bolt right into the Baja!

I wonder how the switchback works with these seats?

Been thinking about doing this myself! Tho what about seatbelts for the middle passenger?

You would have to rig up something. That forum says there is no middle setbelt. Also, It would probably not allow full use of the switchback system. I imagine the Legacy/Outback seat bottom does not pull up forward like the Baja or does it?

You could likely rig up a lap belt that bolts to where the buckles on each of the outboard sides bolt to the floor. If the seat bottom is from an outback wagon it should pivot up the same way.
