heated seats

Has anyone put heated seats into a non-turbo/leather package Baja? or installed heating elements in the existing seats?

I'm working on it. I have the seats and harness from a 2004 outback. I'm in the process of putting the Baja seat upholstery onto these seats. I should have the wiring installed in the next month or so.

I'll be interested to hear how it goes.

Are you doing the upolstery work yourself?

Heated seats

Yep, I'm doing the upholstery. I bought a new set of Baja seat covers and door panels form a guy on E-bay who does lether conversions. I got seats from an 04 OBW, along with the cosole and switches. The wiring harness is from another OBW, which I will strip-down to the necessary wires and run alongside the current harness. I've done a lot of house-furniture upholstery, but all you need to get the heaters into the seats are hog-ring pliers and more hog rings. I hope to complete the seats outside of the car and the do a swap.

I'll post once I get it done!

We had this done by the dealer (who farmed it out to a local upholstery shop) before we took delivery of ours.

Cost a couple of bucks, but they did an awesome job.
