Exhaust Fumes in Baja

Post by elfranco »

I Have a 2005 Baja Turbo. Now that I am using the heater I have strong exhaust fumes entering the Drivers compartment when the Baja is stopped at a red light, or waiting in traffic. I have an appointment to bring it back to the dealer tommorow. Has anyone else had this problem, or any ideas about it?

Curious - could it be that a recent fluid change resulted in spilled fluid on your exhaust and you are just smelling it burn off?

Exhaust Fumes in Baja (resolved)

I am a little embarassed. The exhaust odor was a result of leaving the oil filler cap loose. I thought I put it back on correctly. Oh well.
