Driveshaft u joints

Post by 06Suparu »

The shop found a bad u joint on the driveshaft. After a bit of searching i found Spicer 5-3202× u joints are a perfect fit. Not cheap. Almost $50 but ive always had great luck with Spicer and they are greasable. Looking forward to seeing how they hold up. If i had to do the job again i would cut the old joints out and press the caps out without fighting with it.

Glad you caught it before the joint actually broke and caused potentially more damage. $50 sounds like a lot but definitely cheaper than the Subaru recommendation of new driveshaft. I picked up one of my Bajas cheap because of a broken ujoint which also took out the shift cable.
