Getting a baja!

Post by Flowmastered87GL »

Well my GL is finally starting to die. Some kind of rattle has developed in the engine. Not a normal lifter tap. Something sounding much worse.

Anyway I put in an offer on an 05 Baja Sport is Regal Blue Pearl with a bed extender and splash guards. Has a dealer appearance pack, but they arent gonna make me pay for it since I didnt want it when I did the search. :D

Cost? Uhhh $21097 after rebate.

So I am in the process of trying to get finance setup so I can get this bad boy delivered!

I hope that is for a Turbo, as that is what I just paid for mine last week in SoCal.

Nope its a sport.

I could probably get it for $500 less than this if I really wanted to, but the dealer is really going out of their way, and subarus are popular up here so if I dont buy it at this price someone else will. And I want it!

Looks like I need a co-signer :(

But my dad is taking care of that :D

After I finish my 82 brat, no more extra cars for a while. Time to spend quality time with the wife, NOT THE CARS!

I spend enough time at work talking cars with customers (selling Kias)

Eventually though I will build up a 2.5RS brat.

Well everything is mostly squared away.

I took delivery of the car today with around 248 miles on it (it was delivered from Washington free of charge)

I have the car in my garage and its pretty much perfect... except one of the aftermarket pinstripes on the backmost body panel on the side is half missing.

POLL--------
Should I go back make a big stink and ask em to replace that 8 inch section? Go back and ask em to remove all the stripes or just peel them off myself.?

Congrats on the new Baja!! As far as the stripe, you can remove it pretty easy with a blow dryer, but since you just bought it, you should have the right to take it to the dealership and have it fixed or removed. After all, your the customer now, and spent the big bucks to get the Baja. They should be happy to remove or repair it, in my opinion. I work at a stealership, and people always bring back their new vehicles bitchin about somethin. You should be able to also. Mike

They are gonna fix the pinstripe free in about 5 minutes time on Monday. They are also gonna reroute the drivers side windshield washer squirter hose as its been getting kinked from opening and closing the hood. It goes up on the cowling for some reason.
