Replaced the OEM crossbars with INNO IN-TR base stays and crossbars. The INNO system was the only one that I could confirm would work with the Baja rails with no modifications. The INNOs don't get the best reviews, but they have worked just fine for my purposes.
I needed to move the OEM bars to fit my rowing shell carrier. I did finally get the crossbars loose, but at the cost of destroying the corroded retaining screws. Because the crossbars weren't a great fit for either the carrier, or the kayak saddles I wanted, I replaced them rather than try to repair them.

Some side by side images before I removed the OEMs.

I know you’ve seen it a million times but the 250.00 Baja got some new shoes last night. They should have just come stock with crosstrek wheels lol

Only had time to do the fronts, because I found the inner CV boot finally cracked open, so the time I would have spent on the rears was spent doing that... oh well, it was something that needed to be done, anyway.
I’ve looking to lift my ‘06 Baja sport and am having a hard time finding some shocks and struts. What are the Bilstein shock part numbers you got? And how did they fit?

I also changed all the Trim to the old man wood. Afterwards, replaced my old fogged up headlights for some junkyard Outback’s. I cleaned them up with same sandpaper and clear coat and they’re good as new! Last week, I just got these rims and tires put on but are a little too big. Had to get the hammer out in the front wheel wells so they could turn without rubbing. Here’s a picture of them outside the tire shop.

What rim size and wheel size did you put on it?

I'm not sure the part numbers... Got them from a retail store chain that specializes in used parts (Up Garage), when I was in Japan. These are probably not what you're looking for, since they're off a Legacy GT, and will actually lower the ride height, not raise it.

King Springs makes (or, at least, made) some lift springs for the Outback/Baja. KYB has factory-equivalent replacements for the shocks.

I appreciate it. I tried looking at Monroe and Bilstien to no avail. Looking for some good off-roaring shocks. Gonna probably put a 2-4 inch lift on it.

Got my stance set up. Still need an alignment. ADF 2in lift and multilink, f44 wheels, ko2s. Added a Tommy Kaira legacy grill.

Would I be able to put these on without running into issues? I know turn radius would take a hit till I’m able to get the lift. Just curious.

I’m running 215/75/15 ko2’s with a 2in lift and I had to cut my liners up in my front fenders, cut the side skirts back and hammer down the pinch welds. It rubbed pretty bad prior to that. I think these would be much too big. ADF recommends 215/75/15 & 215/70/16 as maximum tire size after lift with minimal cutting

Well, what did I do to my Baja Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Getting ready for painting. There was a lot of the trim I had to "learn" how to remove (there are tutorials, and various websites but NONE has all the different trims. I also found a few rust areas. One on the roof I trimmed out and welded in filler pieces (it goes under the rail), other small ones are under the cladding and will be addressed later. Got a quote today, but he is about two weeks out. Worth waiting for. Dennis
