I don't know if I could swing a weekend, but I'd love to do a picnic or something -- take pictures with TONS of them everywhere.
If you VA guys would be willing to make the drive, there are some great state parks in Central MD at reasonable prices (pavillion, baseball field, grills, etc).
(And I just got a nifty new 18mm wide-angle lens for my birthday.
