Scooby Noobie here

Post by Zombaja »

My first subaru since I unloaded my 87 GL turbo back in the mid 90's- a white Baja Turbo with 134K miles.

Still cleaning up neglect issues from the last owner-guy treated it like a beater parts chaser (would've been fine except for carrying large/heavy/messy parts INSIDE the cab)- like bad tires, brakes almost worn to the feeler, rusted/damaged hard cover locks, and oil leaks.

It'll be getting a tube bumper as soon as budget allows (could be soon!) , skidplates, then a minor (1.5-2") lift with appropriate wheels and tires. Basically building a somewhat SHTF capable ride that's still a friendly daily commuter. Sadly most of the modifications planned are less to do with apocalypse bug out action, and more to deal with the daily realities of San Jose commuter traffic! Zombies behind the wheel! :P
