Hi guys. Colorado seems to be the closest I'll get to a local forum. I'm in Salt Lake. Just got my 2005 Baja T in white after passing my yellow 03 down to my little brother. Together, my family owns three Bajas... the two mentioned and also an 05 T in black. The boyfriend and I have a combination of three Subarus... all Legacy based, of course. :D Pictured here is our 98 Outback, 05 Baja T, and 05 Legacy GT.

Here is a pic of my old yellow Baja... The only mod on it was a muffler. lol

This is the Legacy GT... too many mods to list.

And here is the Outback playing in the dirt...

Hello!
thought I'd drop in to this thread, since it's such a bustling hub of activity!
not even a post a year! but I like to hear myself type so... [smilie=boggl3y3dummy-ani.gif]

I'm around palmer lake, colorado. bought my Baja at monument motors (subaru specialists & real good people, I highly recommend them)
I honestly didn't much care for the baja (my need for speed demanded an STi) but the wife loved it, and so that's what we got. and since then it's really grown on me. there's a lot of decent trails around here, so I imagine we actually throw that thing around in the rocks more than most people. the front and rear bumpers are pretty rashed up from dragging over things, and the undercarriage has all kinds of bumps and bruises.

If anybody wants to go hang out and see what their 'roos (and skills) are capable of, drop me a line!

Hi everyone. I just got a 2005 Baja in Black. I had loved the Brats when they came out but couldn't afford one. Then when the Baja's came out I was already making payments on my brand new 2003 Saturn View, which I still have and love, so I couldn't do another vehicle.

However, recently I've been really missing driving a manual transmission vehicle. So while originally looking at smaller trucks like the Rangers and Tacomas, I came across a really nice Baja at the Subaru dealer in Golden, which is close to my house. They had just put it out on the lot that day. I test drove it and fell in love with it and now it's mine!! Woohoo...

I used to drive mine up the Camp Dick fire access roads/offroad trails a couple years ago, but that was sketchy and even driving very carefully there were still some bumps and scrapes. The trails have only gotten worse and rockier since.

Thanks for your response! Sketchy = fun [smilie=666.gif] lol but really for this trip im not trying to get in over my head. The info online says t :P hat its rated a 3. That basically a stock SUV can handle it. The biggest obstacle is rocks and the clearance of the baja. If its too low its too low nothing i can do about it so im just hoping maybe someone has gave it a go and has a good story to share that will motivate me.

I’ll revive the ancient thread in case more folks get back into this. I am a new owner in Longmont. Mine is an 04 turbo. I have replaced the engine and upgraded the turbo to an sti model. I am running a Cobb accessport by using an 04 STi ecu. This allows me to use the Cobb flex fuel and run the car on any blend of ethanol for huge increases in power and safety. Drop by my dyno shop to talk turkey.

Colorado Springs here...just picked up a 2006 Turbo. High mileage with a rebuilt motor. This is my 3rd Subaru, and the one I am most excited about.

Anyone out there? Just picked up an '05 Baja Turbo AT with 118K on it a couple months ago and I'm looking to start making some upgrades. I'm somewhat new to this so would like to talk to Baja owners in my area about what mods they've tried, what works and what doesn't. Also if anyone knows some decent trails that it can handle in it's current stock form that'd be awesome!
