The factory radio in my 03 scooby has lost sound in 3of the 4 speakers, with only the front passenger side working. I thought it was in the head unit but a new radio unit didn't fix it. Has anyone had this happen? Is there a fix for this?

Yes! As a matter of fact I just went through the same thing with my 03. I only had the front passenger speaker working. The fix is just what you would expect, replace the speakers. I chose 6 1/2 Polk DB651 speakers (both front and rear). You can find a nice youtube video that shows how to remove the door panels. I would also recommend buying speaker wiring adaptors. It takes a small amount of "customizing" to install these particular speakers, but nothing that shows when the door panels are replaced. Good luck.Denny b wrote:The factory radio in my 03 scooby has lost sound in 3of the 4 speakers, with only the front passenger side working. No problem. I rode around for weeks (or was it months) with no rear speakers, then when the front passenger speaker died a couple of weeks ago, I finally bought that new receiver I just knew would fix the problem. Once I got it installed and hit the on button, I was very surprised to (still) hear only one speaker. Oh well, at least now I have new speakers and a new receiver. Bluetooth and HD Radio are a nice upgrade.Denny b wrote:Thanks for the helpful reply, it's had me crazy for a couple days now.
