All wiring is external - that preserves the strength of the chromoly tubing. So, how you route the wiring is entirely up to you. Here is how I've done it:steven765 wrote:how is wiring run to the top bar? curious before i select options

It isn't the complete install but I'm running the wires along the back of the bumper beam to the center of the grill - then up through the top middle for the lights and down through the middle for the winch. Just a few zip ties keeping things in place.
Does that help?

once I have the my lights, I'm want to see if i can run them without removing any of my switches. I'm sure it can be done but I would like to get a switch that won't be in the way and not too bulky. My first time doing this it's the beginning of another lesson in wiring. ![ebil-thumbup [smilie=ebil-thumbup.gif]](./images/smilies/ebil-thumbup.gif)

## LAST CALL ##
Absolute last call on this batch of bar - your deposit reserves your bar - final payments will be due in two weeks (for the couple that haven't already done so).
Can't wait to get started!!!

Re: Multi-Purpose Light/Brush Bar w/optional Skid Plate & Wi
Last night I worked on gathering all the order details up. Over the next day or so emails will be sent to request for options if you haven't submitted them yet, final payment if it hasn't been submitted yet, and any other questions I might run into while getting your order together.
What I'd like to ask now, since I have two on file, please PM an alternate shipping address if it differs from the one in your paypal account. Like I said, I currently have two that have requested the bar to be shipped to a different (commercial) address. Please, even if you are one of these two, send me a PM with your alternate shipping address so I can make sure I have my orders in line.
Production will begin tomorrow! The bars should be done in the middle of next week then they are sent for powder coating. Shipping is planned for March 31 so I suspect everyone will get their bar the first week of April.
Again, please PM alternate shipping addresses and let me know if you need a winch or any other accessories and I'll get a quote for them too.
Thanks for your support.

hey man, i just got my Baja due to a car wreck...so i'm trying to get my money back right. but i am most definitely interested man. you were talking line june july. might possibly try to grab one then
really hope everything goes well. if i were you i'd get on facebook on subaru/baja pages and just "post whore" the link everywhere. This is really awesome and I would hate a thing like this to fall through and the rest of us out there never b able to get one.
Lots of owners out there that dont do the forums they just own a truck and know they like it, then come to regular parts stores looking for accessories. I'd facebook the crap out of it!

I appreciate your enthusiasm and would be very thankful to any one who spreads the word and lets fellow Baja owners know that we've got one product ready for them and others as they are request / built - and we're in the USA.
Thanks for the feedback and hopefully we'll hear from you soon.

Careful what you joke about...STI2NR wrote:I think you guys stole my patented design.![]()
I have been making push bars for the last 4 years.
Wanna split the profits to avoid patent infringement?

I agree with Skemcin, I think it's bad timing to be joking around when there is a group buy going on. I'm waiting for my bar anyday now so I think anyone that is redoing someone's work is poor judgement in my opinion. Respect goes long ways.

Just so you know. The above statement I made is true (been making them for four years).
STI version 1

STI version 2

Baja version 1

Baja version 2

Baja version 3

You will notice if you click on the pictures that they link you to my putphoto page. You can check out the dates and times that I made each bar.
Also my design is similar not the same as the one gorilla is making and selling. On top of that I only use stainless steel or aluminum. I had problems in the past with mild or aluminized steel. Gorilla is producing an excellent looking piece and the fabrication appears top notch. I am glad a company stepped forward to help others who do not have the skills or the tools to create such works of art.
Unfortunately the only time my bars are for sale is when I create a new one to replace the existing one.
Keep up the great work!
BTW none of my designs were patented I just found it amusing that I came across this page way after I had built one and the designs were so similar it made me LOL.

No one ever denied that you have been making them for any number of years. I never denied or discredited anything about your work.STI2NR wrote:Just so you know. The above statement I made is true (been making them for four years).

I am the founder of Gorilla Offroad Company and we are a legitimate, registered small business. I've done my research both online and in the patent library. I know you go by the handle "2.5 turbo hyped" on NASIOC and have posted plenty of pictures there. You've even caught some $hit from people for your "zombie killer" grappling hook that's on your rear facing winch. I take an enormous amount of pride in the work I do and I am equally thorough in my research and I just don't think joking about patents is ever an appropriate thing to do.
In any respect, you posting your images in this thread, in my opinion, is in poor taste. I'm not going to ask you or the moderator to remove them but I would simply suggest you take a little more time to think about your posts to be sure you avoid as much controversy as possible.
Respectfully,
Skemcin - Gorilla Offroad Company

## UPDATE ##
We ran a little short on tabs but had them ordered and expect them in today. Not enough to set up back, but maybe a couple hours. So, will have bars down the road at the powder coaters later this afternoon/early evening rather than this morning. That still keeps us on track for packing Friday and Saturday so they can be shipped first thing next week.
Once installed, please make sure you post some pictures - viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2062
I started that thread so when you're all set up or if you want to document some before and after, lets do it there.
Thanks again and I'll update you when I've got more news to report.
