home made bed cover

Post by rbombard »

:D Hello,
I live in Northern Vermont. I build my own bed cover for my '03 Baja out of plywood and spare parts. Cost me about $30 bucks in parts and 4 or 5 hours of my time, (I work slow) you clever handy types can do it in half that I'm sure.

In the process I created a very accurate template out of foamcore. If you live in Northern VT area and want to borrow my template I can arrange it. All I require is a phone number, honest date you plan to return it, and clear honest communications.

If I can save a fellow Bajaer 400 bucks I'm glad to do it.

take care,
Roger

motojak wrote:Thanks Mike. I thought the cover was flush with the top sides of the bed (at least thats how it looks in pics). How much clearance do you have from the floor of the bed to the bottom of the cover. That is if you don't mind checking. Im pretty much set on this one but id like more info. Id love to get the snuglid cover but for 1200 it better come with a hot naked chick in the back. Thanks

Jason,
If it warms up this week, I will open mine up and measure it. A bit chilly today, about 9 out, and suppose to be 10 below tonite. I will shoot for this weekend, as it is suppose to get above freezing.

Mike
Even though I work on Dodges, I don't own one.
