what trans will work in my car?

Re: what trans will work in my car?
When I was looking, there was more security in the 2 year warranty and having my original transmission than taking a chance on one that might not work and only has a 30 day warranty.

Close, but I think the JDM 2.0 Imprezas that this came from had the 3.90 final drive. I also notice that this requires the newer style axles with the male end. Do you know if your current transmission has the stubs in the trans to accept the female axles (like the turbos have) or is yours like this one?

I found this http://home.gci.net/~cowdookey/818/Tran ... Public.pdf
It should help you!
Under split case 5MT NA it looks like the TY754VCFCA, TY754VCGCA, TY754VCDCA and TY754VCBCA are all pretty much the same. Even the older outbacks TY752V2DCA may work although the 1st and 2nd gear ratios are slightly different.

So I know it would be best to have it rebuilt but I would really like to just split the case and drop in new gear sets because I know I can do that other than that sourcing the rebuild kit with everything I need seems impossible.
