Virginia Natives make me laugh, (with pics!) :D SNOW DAY!!!

Ok so we are getting a good snow here in northern VA. I have about 15+ inches in front of my house right now. Growing up in WI this is just a normal thing in Dec, but here, everyone stormed the groceries yesterday and stocked up for this "blizzard", gas stations have run out of gas, and no one is venturing outside for fear of... idk what. I took the suby out today with ZERO issues. I even saw a snow plow stuck, lol. Walmart, Lowes and Home Depot are all sold out of shovels and sidewalk salt. I couldnt help myself, Needed to try out the new All Terrain tires in some snow, My driveway has a nice incline to get me out into the road so no problems there. Saw a couple cars stuck going up hills, came across some cops pushing a van thru an inclined intersection, blocking my left hand turn lane, I slowed down and rolled down the window, cop yelled, "dont stop, dont stop!!" I was like "Its all good, I have a SUBARU, can i turn left??" He waved me around the stuck van and i just went right around, not a problem. Felt good.

I can relate, everyone forgets how to drive here in ny metro area when it snows and yesterday the baja proved itself to be frigging awesome again.

I was havin fun for sure also....no drama and no stuck in anything here when I was out and about Saturday and Sunday....

then again, I learned how to drive in the snow in an '83 RX-7 in the Berkshire mountains of Massachusetts....so I was out having fun while running normal type of errands over the weekend...final measurement at my house was 16 inches...

I love it !!! Great pics!. I wish we would get that amount of snow here. Oooo well . . I did have some fun about a week ago. . Had some freezing rain that made the parking lots fun to do donuts in.

We got a little bit of snow her in Indianapolis, so I thought I would have some fun too, then I put myself into a 180 degree spin and put the baja up on curb. Stupid POS replacement tires I bought, cant wait to get those things replaced.

overall, my Baja really surprised me with all this snow. im sure the new Grabber All Terrain's had a bit to do with it, but I never once felt out of control of my vehicle. the tires went everywhere I wanted them too, even when I was plowing my own way thru an unplowed 15+ inches. very happy with my car. Reassures me that I made the right purchase, since me and my wife definitely plan on moving back out west where this kind of snow is a usual occurrence.
