The bull bar was custom made. Bflowrx on nasioc had a few made a couple of years ago. It costed me just under $300.00 shipping included. You might try to contact him to find out about it. If I remember correctly, he got a few folks together who were interested and got a bulk order together. It was cheaper that way.
The other option looks like getting one for a Liberty (Outback) from Australia. It's a lot more spendy that way. I got a brush guard for my Suzuki Sidekick Sport a few years ago from Australia. It costed me $800.00 with shipping but they didn't make brush guards for the sport model.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I put on a set of Michelin IceX2 studless snow/ice tires. We haven't had any snow here in Seattle yet but it's been icy, but by the time I get on the road, the frost is gone. They are noticibly quieter than the stock RE92.
They were $130.00 at Costco plus $14.00 installation, and the $1.00 enviromental fee each. They have a sale there until 12/20, if you buy a set of 4 Michelin tires, you get $70.00 off.
I finally decided on going studless and it was a toss up between that and the Toyo Observe G02. Both seem to have really good ratings and feedback.

thanks, other than some other exterior things i'm going to play with, the look is done. As you know VA only allows the upper lights to be used offroad but if they dont work they will nail you during inspection (i know right) so i figure i'll save the hassle and not mount them.
oh and the basket is made by RAGE powersports.
Re: Baja Pics
I'm glad Washington state doesn't have inspections exept emissions testing unless you register a car from out of state.

Yeah, if they did I would be in trouble.seafajr. wrote:I'm glad Washington state doesn't have inspections exept emissions testing unless you register a car from out of state.

Re: Baja Pics
Took this shot in appreciation of the snowblower that (along with a couple hours of daily effort) gives me a drivable driveway. Gotta give credit to the Baja that makes it up and down, too. Here she is!

Yeah, I'll post a better shot in the future.

Re: Baja Pics
so, this was the original baja concept?

personally, i like it loads better than how the bajas shipped from the factory, thats not to say i dont absolutely love the baja's design, but i wonder why they changed so much.... i would've loved to have running boards like that.... plus the lines look different/better....
anyone here successfully put running boards/nerf bars on their baja yet? i've been "about to get mine for 2 years now" but it never ends up working out. now im really close to pickin up an 05 baja turbo and i've began to troll teh forums again. lol
i'd love to get it to look as close to that concept as possible... its a shame they dropped the yellow after 03, its probably the most appealing yellow car i've ever seen.

Re: Baja Pics
Well I hear people are looking for a BAJA LIFT.. John Bloom has let me know he is doing lifts for Outbacks and Baja's. .. Here is his cardomain site that has pics of a Outback with a 6 inch lift . . . I think I would be happy with a 4 inch lift though. hope that helps
