I had my 2005 Baja serviced for the fuel system recall that was sent out recently (had it done the Monday after Thanksgiving). Ever since, I'm having problems getting it started. Anyone else have any similar problem and know a solution?
Thanks,
Kay

not I...
Re: problem after recall repair
I gave up on the local dealer, who cancelled on me twice and told me a third time that they still didn't have the parts for the Baja. I'll have to call them again one day.
Anyway, your issue sounds to me like they didn't get something sealed properly. My guess is that there's fuel leaking back into the tank from the supply line, or something similar (or maybe even out onto the ground? Do you smell fuel?), and the fuel pump is having to re-fill some lines as you try to start the truck.
Try this test: When you get in to start it up, turn the key to the "on" position, but do not try to start it yet. Let the key sit there in the "on" position for 20 seconds (count it out so you actually wait that long), and then try to start it. If it starts right up, then the issue is something like what I've described. Regardless whether this lets it start right up or not, it should be helpful to the dealer when you take it back to him to fix whatever got put amiss during the recall repair.

No we have had no issues after the recall on the fuel system.
As they replaced lines/connections they may have left something off.
Does it start ever?
When it runs does it run normally or does it have issues?
