Antenna location/reloaction?

hey yall, got some new questions.... so i'm loving my baja but im always hawkeyeing all the other Bajas on the road, looking for cooler ideas and slicker looks... this one dude on the forum had a great idea about placing roof mounted rectangle lights under the roof racks.... BRILLIANT im gunna use that idea very son, but the thing i am wanting some info on is the AM/FM antenna that extends out of my driver side pillar, the metal ones.... i love it, looks very OG, buti've been seeing newer cars with those 6 inch black plastic antennas and they are placed on the center/rear roof... like most modern cars.... has anyone tried to do a relocation of their antenna? or has anyone at least tried to swap out the old metal antenna for a slicker black one? if so that'd be cool to hear bout it, if not... looks like i got my 1st mod coming up......

i just installed A GPS antenna back on the rear rof, i think it would be easy to get a rear mounted antenna back there, just drop the headliner and run the antenna cable down the passanger side inside the plastic trim,,,, but my issue is cutting into the roof...... im getting braver.... but i need to grow a pair before i finally bite down and do it.... maybe someone who has installed the solid black plastic antenna on their baja could convince me to try.......
