Just wanted to say hi!
I was lucky and spotted a 2003 Subaru Baja on a car lot a few weeks ago. I ran by and traded in my '98 Subaru Legacy in and bought the Baja. Now, I'm in the process of doing a few upgrades to give it a little more HP.

*wave* :D

Good choice for a newer car! I also have an '03 model (non-turbo) purchased new in 2004. I'm curious to know what you will do to give your Baja more horsepower. Please update us when you get a chance.

As for me, I got more horsepower by also driving a Mustang GT.

Well, so far I just cut off the muffler but now I'm having some backfire issues. lol
My car looked like it compensated well for a couple of days but then on the third day of the muffler removal it started having some issues. I'm going to see if I can get that fixed.

Other things I have planned of course, is a cold air intake and a new header. All I can do is just hope I don't kill my car in the process.

Welcome!

I realize that I have not properly introduced myself at this forum, so I'll piggyback on your introduction thread, if you don't mind.

We got an '05 turbo (black) about a week or so ago, and it's great! High miles (nearly 80,000) but that made it affordable and it's a Subaru so it'll last another 500,000 without any major troubles.

I've wanted a Baja since they came out, but our circumstances were such that it just wasn't in the cards until now. It would have been a great farm vehicle just like our BRAT was way back when. I don't farm any more (work for USDA now), but I'm still happy as a clam to be driving a Baja!

I was in a similar situation! I wanted a Baja when they first came out but just couldn't afford them at the time. :?
I'm loving the Baja so far! Even though I think I'm killing mine due to me trying to modify it. lol
