Fuel filter?

Post by adrian206 »

Does anyone know where the fuel filter lives on an 04 Baja turbo? Just bought it, love it.........

Thanks,
Adrian

Is it in the tank? Looking at a filter for our '05 turbo at the Schucks website, it looks like one that would sit near the firewall in the engine compartment. Haven't seen the item in real life yet...

Yeah the NA models use the traditional Subaru under the hood filter. The turbos have a filter in the tank that is supposed to require no service and do not have the serviceable filter under hood.

Is that the same as the STI then? My owner's manual says to replace the fuel filter (except STI) every 30,000 miles (recommended; required at ~105,000).
