Fuel filter location

Post by Spacinjasman »

8) I was wondering where the fuel filter is located on my '06 Baja Turbo? Is it in the gas tank or mounted to gas tank, or is it under the hood somewhere? TIA for any reply.

Bump to the top for another Baja turbo owner looking for this info. The dealer says it's on the firewall (of course, they also said there's no spin-on filter for the tranny), one parts place says it's attached to the fuel pump in the tank, and I can't see any obvious locations unless it's behind a shield somewhere.

The Fram filter definitely does NOT look like an in-tank filter. It's just a metal can with 2 hard lines coming out the top at angles. Anyone? Thanks.

The metal can with 2 hoses is the firewall mounted fuel filter for the Non turbo baja. The turbo has the filter in the tank.
