Pool table in a baja?

Post by Flowmastered87GL »

Hmmm went to Sears today to pick up our new 7 foot pool table (ya i know its a foot too short, but the price was right)

The guy kinda looked at me funny when I said I was gonna pack it home in a Subaru.

Turns out.... the box wouldnt even fit between the taillights (read in the tailgate)

So... because of the sport bars, turning it diagonal was out.

Me thinks I need a little 4x8 trailer and a hitch to haul big stuff like that.

I went to work and borrowed the F-150 there to lug it home. BARELY fit between the wheel wells in a full size long bed truck. WAY too much for the baja after all!

I suppose I could have stood it up this way

but I didnt think it would be safe on turns... it was so heavy it would do ALOT of damage if it came down like this on a turn //

It was just easier to get the Ford from work :(

Yah, smashed pool table, and Baja layin on its side are bad. Bigger truck is better, or a trailer to move big stuff. Mike

Uhhh new car with 2600 miles.. not willing to try to lift afew hundred pound pool table up there when the rack only holds 100 lbs. I only had afew bungee cords and a small rope... not enough to safely secure it.

I was joking... of course you can't strap a pool table to the roof, but it would look good going down the road... and you could stop and play pool every now and then...lol.
