What color baja?
Well I test drove a Baja... ALMOST bought it because they offered $1500 for my brat sight unseen... though that would have led to me paying a bit over invoice for the Baja... tempting, but I think private market selling would be more beneficial at this time.
Before I was set on the Garnet Pearl.
I test drove a Dark blue one and my wife and I really liked the color.
Remember that I want to paint a matching brat to be a clone of the baja, and blue interior brats ARE easier to find.
So... what color do I buy? Red or Blue?

Well I am glad I didnt buy today. I really like the color, but I found that they werent telling me about a $1000 rebate.
Yes I will go back there, but next time I go back I am bringing this with me:
http://www.carsdirect.com/build/options ... tore=false
Basically they match it or I go elsewhere
I MAY add on active lifestyle package 2B (speakers, bed extender, mudflaps...)
At the bare minimum I want the mudflaps and bed extender.
The baja I viewed today (the blue one) should go for $20,940. They offered it to me for like $200 over invoice + $1500 for my brat. (so around $22000 minus the cost of the brat = 20,500 to finance)
Ya... I'd be better off selling the brat for $1500 myself and then paying 20940 and only financing like 19400 (or less after down payment of cash)
Most likely though I will end up with whatever color they have at the time I am ready to buy. Red or blue either one is cool as long as it has the options I want and most importantly its close to the target price from that link.

Go for the blue... it'll be less of a cop magnet. Don't you like the two-tone body? I think it really defines the odd look of the Baja than a single color. I have seen complete silver, red, black and blue ones and barely recognized them as a Baja. When it's two-tone it shows the squirrely design.

I dont like the 2 tone because.... it makes the cladding on the butt look too big.
I agree that blue is less of a cop magnet.
If I have the choice, it sounds like blue will be it.
But if only a blue one is in town when I am ready to buy then that will be it.

Wow, old thread. I got a Regal Blue Pearl 5 speed Baja Sport.
Reason... red will oxidize easier... and when I make a matching "OL BRAT" most of em seem to have blue interiors... which would match the blue exterior (matching the paint on the baja) better than a blue interior with a red exterior.

I only had one option: Black. only one dealer within reasonable distance, and i couldnt be happier.I kinda like the silver/black of the sport model but for pure chick magnetry black is the only option.
When i first told my family about my new car i dont think they were too thrilled that I got another subaru. But after seeing it in person (and getting sucked back in its leather seats) i changed a few minds.
