Condenser fan question

Condenser fan question
Primary fan motor failed so I replaced it, now both fans operate when air conditioner is on, is this normal? I don't know if both operated before the primary motor failed or not. Just wondering the proper operation of both. Thanks!

Should probably mention it's a 2006 turbo automatic. Thanks for any help that can be provided.

My 2003 NA, yes, both fans run whenever the A/C compressor is on.
