Hey folks. I have an 86 brat, and I ordered the weber carb conversion, expecting it to be a 2 hour job and done. Well I then discovered I have the carter 1bbl carb (didnt know they existed) and thus the weber wont fit my manifold. So I ordered an ebay intake from a 2bbl hitachi, and it doesnt want to fit. the hitachi intake is symmetrical on both sides- the two intake arms are mirrored. on the carter intake, there is about a half inch offset, making the intake mount at an angle, and I'm concerned on getting a good gasket seal if I mount it in that bizarre way. Anyone have any input? or a used intake for sale?
