What do you do for winter salt on roads?

Post by bajaman »

Hey Baja owners; with winter road conditions coming, what do you do for road salt? I try to get to an car wash that has under body spray. How often do you do it?

I am noticing that my '06 Baja turbo has rust spots forming under paint (but no rot through holes) around inside rear door jam corner. I sanded areas then spot painted with paint in a small brush can from Subaru dealer. But it is probably coming from underneath the jam, which is covered with the plastic cladding, so no access, and I'm not about to go pulling the cladding off.

Fluid film and dont wash under the car until after the snow is gone and you get a full day of heavy rain to wash away what is left on the roads.

Most of the Automatic car washes around me have a mode to just do the underside.....I do that fairly regularly and I also bought an attachment for my pressure washer that has wheels on it and jets pointing upward that I use at the end of the season to clean it good
