Front Hub bolts torque specs needed!

Post by SoobyToo58 »

Can anyone provide me with the correct torque specs for Front Hub mounting bolts?
I am replacing the Front Hubs and Bearings on my 05 Baja. I have the

"Haynes Repair Manual" 89101
Subaru Legacy & Forester 2000 thru 2006
Includes Legacy Outback and Baja

but they are nowhere to be found for any of the models included in that book.

Hi Reddog,
Thank you for responding to my question!
I'm assuming that SM means the Subaru shop manual?

Can you possibly provide all the necessary Front Axle Drive shaft section drawings and procedures from the Subaru shop manual?

I replaced my Rear Hub/bearing units last year which I purchased as a unit so I didn't have to press the old bearings out or the new ones
in. I haven't bought the Front Bearings or Front Hubs and seals and snap rings yet.
Are the Front Wheel Bearings installed/pressed into the Front Steering Knuckle?
The Subaru tools you mentioned (ST1 927080000 HUB STAND & ST2 927120000 HUB INSTALLER) are discontinued but I just bought a Bearing Adapters Puller Install Removal Tool Set.
Do the Front Hubs have mounting bolts like the rear hubs or are they installed inside the mounted bearings? If they don't have mounting bolts like the rear hubs then of course that would explain why my Haynes Shop Manual doesn't have torque specs for them.

Thanks again!

What you've done already has been a big help and now having the FSM is an even bigger help and will be in the future as well.
Thanks a lot Reddog!
