My auto shift lever is different. Is this okay?

So I just bought an 05 sport automatic.
The auto shift lever plate is not straight but jagged. It's got high miles, so I assume the trans was replaced at some point. When I searched, it showed two different styles. Some are straight. Some are jagged.
What's the deal? Did they change them during the model run? How worried should I be?

It's 15 years old, it rust free and it was cheap so Im good with whatever my situation is...

Hey there, your gear lever is standard for the AT Sport. The "straight" one you're referring to is the Sportshift AT and is only on the AT Turbo models.
