Who has a heated windshield?
I've been looking at diagrams, etc for my 03 baja looking to see if i can install a heated windshield in it.
It appears that the fuse is there, but not the relay or wireing for the relay.
Is there anyone on here that has one installed and working? IIRC the canada ones had the option available.

Re: Who has a heated windshield?
I have the electric wiper blade deicer, but not sure how well it's supposed to work... Since I got my Baja, I've had better luck using the defogger with high heat, than the deicer itself. So, not sure if the benefit will justify the cost/labour of installing it yourself.
Or are you referring to something else?

Re: Who has a heated windshield?
Can you take a picture of the pack of relays under the fuse panel inside?
You will have to put the camera under the dash and point towards the seat.
My US 03 has 3 relays, and the spot that's supposedly for the deicer is unpopulated, but the location changes based on what year manual you look at.

Re: Who has a heated windshield?
I had to use the front camera to get these photos, so the quality isn't as good as the others...

Also a diagram, if you don't have it already.

Re: Who has a heated windshield?
And that confirms it... The 2003 Bajas have none of the wiring needed for heated windshield or heated mirrors.

Re: Who has a heated windshield?
That's unfortunate, but since the circuit is relatively simple, it should be possible to run wiring in parallel with the existing harnesses.
Re: Who has a heated windshield?
I retro fitted the heated windshiled as part of my color change to the STI blue.
There's two ways to do it.
The easy way. I simply tapped off the high side relay from the rear defroster. Make sure you tap the heavy wire for the deforster and not the control wire. Connect the other side to ground and you're good.
The hard way: The control module has the seperate timer circuit for the windshiled deforster built in. If you wire it to a relay and go through the trouble of adding a switch to the dash you can make it 100% factory as well.
