I may have exceeded the cargo capacity. I bought 15 bags of mulch yesterday. There was no weight stamped on the bag, but 2 square feet per bag. So I told the lady at Wal-Mart I'd start with 15 bags and come back and get more if I needed any. Afterward I noticed the rear end was slightly sagging.







When I got home I weighed a bag and it was 47 lbs. So I had somewhere between 700 to 750 lbs of mulch in the bed. The sticker says 800 lbs (three people plus payload).

I weigh 150 lbs so I may have slightly overload the payload capacity by 50 lbs.

The rear end got a little squirrely going down the road. Luckily I only had to go about 2-3 miles.

Started with 10 bags and was pretty confident that 20 would fit, just need to fold down the back seats ...

Much lbs of, well, everything. Probably over the limit for the trailer, and probably over the limit for the towing capacity. The one hour trip it did great, but I think we'll be getting a u-haul so I don't risk a 2000 mile trip and blow something.

No pics but I hauled 960 pounds of deck blocks in the back of mine this summer. Plus myself at 160 pounds

My phone camera is absolutely horrid, but 122lbs of soda & beer for a company event (guess who was the only one with a truck ).

Christmas trees. Earlier I towed a trailer with a riding lawn mower. Things like this, the trees, are the reason I love Bajas. It's a great daily driver, and it can do what no sedan, or hatchback would, and many crossovers are hesitant to. Maybe a hatch could, but who wants all that sap and all those needles IN their car. So much easier than strapping to the roof/rails.
