Brake line specs

Post by NonSequitur »

I'm getting stainless steel braided brake lines made up for my '06 Baja and am wondering if anyone who has done this has the specs for the stock line length and fittings available. Thanks in advance.

I don't know the details, but if you can find specs for 2000-2004 Outback, they'll be the same as your Baja.

What I did was check the AutoZone website for the lengths of the OEM lines on the Baja, find a vehicle with the same lengths, and order the kit for that vehicle.

For me, the Technafit SUB-1120 (http://www.technafitstore.com/SUBARU-BR ... b-1120.htm) kit fits the 2003 Baja.

If you just want the lengths, check the Product Details:

Thanks much. I installed Hawk Performance Quiet Slot Rotors and HP5.0 pads. World of difference. Braking is now a reality, not the suggestion it has always been. Will see how much more difference the brake lines make.

Technically, the lines won't help your car stop faster; it'll just improve the feel and responsiveness of the pedal. The overall stopping distance won't really be affected.
