Timing belt replacement no start

Post by Savannah Dog »

Hi y'all. So I've got a new belt on my car. Before putting every thing back on I tried to start the engine.
The engine won't start lots of cranking little fireing. What do y'all think?

First guess would be that you didn't time it right. Some of the crank pulleys have multiple marks did you use the right one?

Forget what I said about the markings. What is occurring started after I found the TDS mark. I found the intake and exhaust where they should have been. So I removed the belt. Shortly after I realized that the right exhaust valve was lifted. So as I replaced the belt I held the exhaust where it should have been.

Now I realize that the right intake is 180 degrees out
