Restore chirp when locking door

My battery died and now the chirp is gone when I lock my doors. I tried the reset but I do not have the factory FOB. I have the auto start on mine. So when I press both lock/ unlock the car starts. I turned the auto start off and tried with still no luck. Any help would be awesome.

I'm not 100% certain but I think it needs to be reprogrammed into the car. Here's a Youtube tutorial on how to do it. This is for the Subaru keyless entry remote so I am unsure if different devices have different steps but you could try this and see if it works.

Does it still control your locks the way it's supposed to?

Everything works fine the chirp is just gone. I just need to know how to reset it with the FOB I have. It is the one with autostart.

Haha thanks for sharing my video (sometimes I regret not doing a better job recording before uploading since it's harder to go back and change it later)! Mine actually doesn't chirp either. I haven't looked into it much, but I speculate there is some little solenoid or something somewhere that isn't working. Because I've tried pretty much everything. Either that or some came with a different security module in which that was discontinued. Mine honks on the third click to tell you the security is on, but it doesn't chirp.

Was the auto start a factory option?

It's been several years since I've installed any of these but that looks to be an older Avital remote....

I don't know if the auto start was a factory option. I might just order another FOB without the auto start and see if that works.

I think that would be your best bet

Pretty sure the auto start is aftermarket. They might have replaced the existing system so a new stock remote might not even work. Just a heads up.
