I know the clutch is hydraulic, but is there an adjustment somewhere to adjust where the pedal disengages the clutch? The reason I ask is I seem to need to push the pedal almost all the way to the floor to shift smoothly. It seems like everything would be much better if the engagement/disengagement happened within the first 1/2 of the pedal travel.
As background info, I am the second owner and the baja has 135,000 miles. 2005 baja classic. No info on whether the clutch was previously replaced. I bought the baja with 125K on it.

Re: Clutch Pedal Adjustment??
Look up under the dash. You'll see a bar going left to right from the clutch pedal over basically under the accelerator pedal. Push the clutch with your hand and watch what moves. Loosen the nut holding the rod going through the firewall. Unscrew the rod some, essentially making it longer, then retighten the lock nut. Adjust it to where you want it, small increments.
