Driver side turn signal stuck on all the time!

Post by jewmont3 »

My 05 Baja Turbo driver side turn signal is stuck on constant, not blinking. Will only turn off when disconnecting the battery. Please help! Can this be a relay or a fuse? I tried pulling all the ones I thought might be related to no avail.

Thanks,
Mike

it could be wiring related, but there is also on our cars a unit called rear flasher/brake control module and this could be a cause if it's shorted

I'll have to check that for you...
I don't know exactly where it's located because when I've swapped the h6 in mine and saw this on the wiring diagram
but it's somewhere under the dash I think, I'll check on my old 2,5l harness..

Ok great! I went out at lunch and attached the battery cables back up. The light came on again right away but after a few seconds dissapeared. I am curious to see what happens when I start it up and drive it away... Hopefully its just a fluke!?!?

Not sure but I hope it was something that simple... We will find out on the ride home from work.

So it had stayed off for a couple of weeks but this week it has been fading in and out while driving. Usually starting after I use one of my turn signals. Does not matter which side I use. Up until this morning it would fade away and not stay locked on. It is rainging pretty good today and now it is stuck on like it did originally. Sometimes you can hear it click once or several time in rapid succession if you actually have the power to the side but it does not keep doing it. It has been damp and wet this week. Wondering if it has something to do with that? Where do I check for this? Again its only the driverside but sometimes if I put the passenger side on some of the power will go to the drivers and you can see it get brighter and then fade and get weaker etc...
