Proud New Baja Owner!

Post by Khratox »

Hey Guys/Gals,

I've been lurking these forums for a while but now that I FINALLY bought a BAJA I can join up [smilie=666.gif]

Three days ago I got a 2004 Baja Turbo. Its white with 77000 miles (imported from Colorado, owned in Saskatchewan and now brought to Edmonton). I am very happy to have found this as I have been searching in the area for 2 to 3 years now unsuccessfully. As a result I have had a few cars in the last year, including a 2002 IS300, and a 2007 CTS-V, but this is by far the best fit for me. :)

I have a few questions for you guys that I wasn't able to find easily....

1) Do you guys buy the basic accessories (i.e. bed extender)from a Subaru dealer or is there a trusted website that is the most popular?
2) I've seen the bike rack that doesn't require the front tire to be removed but can't seem to find out where to get it, can anyone help me out?

I am very excited for the summer and for putting the few mods on when I find the cash!

Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself :)

(pictures will come up when i figure out how lol)

Congratulations.

You will love it!

My 2005 Baja is also white. There are not many of them around. Buy the extender used if you can. Someone on the forum may have one. I have seen several on ebay.

Good luck, BGC

I love my Baja

Awesome! I bought mine in November, and unfortunately have had to sink quite a bit of money into mine since owning it, however mine is older and has much higher mileage than yours does. And I don't regret getting this vehicle, because it is such a fun one to own! I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as the rest of us enjoy ours!

Welcome ! It feels good owning a Subaru Baja. I have the bike rack that doesnt require you removing the tire. . . But, The company that was making these bike racks doesnt exist anymore . . it used to be scbikeracks.com by sierra coast bike racks. I love the bike rack. Wish they were still around. Well you have a great day. ttyl

Thanks guys!

I'm already loving driving it! Its in getting detailed right now  (guy that owned it was VERY dirty lol)

Has anyone put a CAI on their BAJA? I looked around the site and all I could find was air filters and changing the actual tubes... I found one on this website

http://www.carid.com/2004-subaru-baja-a ... 19478.html

just wondering if anyone has any experience with them?

My Guru states they do not help the Baja Turbo. I have the stock tune and application so I do not know if he meant all Baja Turbo applications.

Happy trails, BGC

Really? I didn't know that...

So do they make it worse or just not improve it?

Has anyone tried it?

I know my buddy's WRX noticed a difference with one...i just assumed they would see almost the same results...

Thanks
