Hello everyone!
I have recently procured a 1 owner, used Baja Turbo ’06 in Obsidian Black Pearl. This coming from a few Taurus SHO’s before this. It does however have 117k miles on it. So with that in mind, I was wondering several things.
First; What type of maintenance / servicing should I do beyond oil changes and what not? Also noting that I am in Michigan and winter is right around the corner.
Second; What types of basic DIY mods are available to boost performance and/or fuel mileage?
Third; A few issues I may be having…
The engine at an idle will at random have a small shutter. Any ideas as to why?
The turbo (even though in MPa) is outputting approx 5-6psi. Is that normal? Seems a bit low to me. Thoughts?
Thanks in advance
Kyle

Re: New Baja
Shoot, I really wished someone would have answered this thread, I just bought an 05 Turbo AT and had the exact same questions, even down to the shudder at idle! There's also a grinding noise when the car is moving and the steering wheel is at a certain position of its rotation, seems to be coming from the suspension.

My '05 Turbo has the shudder at idle thing too. I sometimes hear a small click just as the idle stops so I'm assuming the computer is making corrections to the air/fuel mixture.
As for the grinding, if it doesn't do it when you're setting still, I'd look at the CV joints.
