Dash light color LEDs die?

Post by Thacrudd »

It seems like one of my LEDs die for my large gauges a bit after I replace them. Anyone else have this issue?

I put some LED's in mine and my left turn signal died pretty quick and then one gauge one died soon after. The rest are okay. I bought mine off of Ebay so who knows what the quality is. I was going to go through a company to get it professionally done. Hopefully, it will work better after that.

I don't think it would make much difference having a professional do it. I've tried a few different types of the blue t10 bulbs in there and they all do the same thing. They work for a while, then one of them works intermittently and dies after a while. I ordered new sockets and that didn't seem to help. I am wondering if it has something to do with the actual power source for the gauges. Maybe it doesn't go well with the LEDs. Maybe someone else with dash light LEDs might chime in and see if we can figure this out.

Yeah, I have no idea. I was going to talk to the company about it to see if they know anything since they change these out professionaly. They might know what the issue is....ooorrrr....they might not. What's odd is that I replaced the blown blue LED with a standard bulb and then that also died. We'll get it figured out.
