Here's one for the Suba-gurus

Post by crackhead »

Here's my 1st car. All I remember about it is that it was a mid-late 70's model Subaru. I had it in 1981-1982. Shortly after I got my driver's license I got a Subaru wagon to replace it.

My memory is not-so-good on this car. My father got it for me as a learner.

Sorry for the crappy pic. I just found it in a box of pictures.

What can you guys tell me about it?

Thanks in advance.

That's more than I had on it. I figured it for a '76 or so. All I seem to remember about it was the manual choke. I really wish I could find a pic of the wagon I replaced it with.

Thanks for the help!

We had a white '75 wagon and a red '78 wagon when I was a kid. The bodies we're about the same, but I remember the taillights on the '78 had yellow for the blinkers, whereas the '75 was all red. That's all I remember. ;)

80's wagon was probably a gl wagon of some sort. cardomain is actually pretty good for finding a car you dont know much info on. then once you have the basics, a web search fills in the blanks. glad i could help.

My wagon was a late 70's model. A '77 or '78. It looked just like the one on this pic except for the color.

i would still throw my vote to the "gl" body line. the ad you posted only confirms that. The brat was basically a chopped "gl" sorta how the baja is a chopped outback. thats why in the add they are pictured together.

I'm sure you're right. Maybe someday I'll find a pic of it. Thanks!
