Actually, I'm guessing its 50/50. Not a lot of Baja owners on on this forum ;) And from what I have gathered the real buyers of the Baja are in their 40's through retirement-aged women, then men -- Not the 20-somethings that Subaru tried to market the vehicle to.

Sounds about right, the marketing people missed big time with the Baja!!

Once I saw it a couple of years ago, I knew I needed to have it. Many young people don't have it because of the price, but it was something that I had to have, so I figured out how to get it. Almost 25 and have had the baja for almost a year, and totally loving every mile I drive.

Yeah, I don't fit either demographic - just wanted something "different" to drive - My family has always had Subies so it seemed like a good fit. I sometimes wish I had the turbo, but I am happy.

just noticed this and voted- As for Subbies marketing- Well I'm 40- and remember wanting a brat so bad I could taste it (ummm rust and all!) well NOW I have the means (read credit score) to afford what I want- I work hard for what I have- I put a lot of miles on my everyday vehicles (I have not gotten rid of anything under 100,000miles since I sold my Escort wagon (96,000 miles) to my Mother-in-law (hehehe and had to teach a 60 year old arthretic woman to drive stick hhehehe) I really think Subaru should have gone with the Marketing of "The Brat you always wanted" I think the Baja would have sold better- and would not have been dropped from the line (of course then the vehicle would have not been so "rare")
