Post by Acro2pilot »

Any classic gaming fans on the ScoobyTruck forum? I know of myself and J Golden (he drives his turbo Baja from Ohio to Vegas for the show). We are really working hard for a killer year and would love to see some of you there!

FYI, I am the organizer if anyone has any questions.

And our latest press release

Classic Gaming Expo 2014 Ramps up with more Games and Entertainment

The Classic Gaming Expo (CGE) is back September 12-14, 2014 at the Riviera Hotel and Casino Convention Center to continue the CGE tradition of excellence. The original retro gaming expo, 15 years in the running, represents the best games from the birth of the industry through today's latest retro themed products.

CGE is pleased to announce we have signed on some of the best vendors in the industry. A major show sponsor, Intellivision Productions, will be exhibiting their new Intellivision Flashback Console before it is released in stores. Other great vendors include; Toy Shack, Hyperkin, Brett Weiss, Gamer's Paradise, Portland Retro Expo, Game Repair, Anime Revolution, Too Many Games, Intellivisionaries Podcast, RetroGaming Roundup Podcast, Steve Lin, Game King, Good Deal Games/HH debuting 4 new surprise titles for the Colecovision and Road Duel programmed by Stephen Smith for the Atari VCS, and a few more surprise games, Rawk Threads, Retro Magazine, Adam Cohen, Songbird Productions, Christa Carpenter, Evan Burman, Shark Robot, and more to be announced soon!

The arcade selection has also expanded greatly this year to include over 100 arcade and pinball machines in the CGE Arcade and the Pinball Hall of Fame annex at the Riviera. The console section will feature 50 consoles covering the history of video games as well as a huge selection of LCD and LED classics for play, which are seldom seen at expos!

In between the shopping and gaming be sure to check out the movies and panels that CGE is famous for. We will be screening movies, which will, in most cases, be followed by a Q&A session with the filmmaker! Attend screenings of classics and new films such as; Video Craze, Gameplay, Once Upon Atari, King of Arcades, Gamer Age, and a sneak preview of footage from the upcoming The NES Club. When the movies are not rolling, the rooms Description: https://ssl.gstatic.com/ui/v1/icons/mai ... ot.gifwill be filled with attendees listening to panels and presentations from the video game industry alumni that CGE is famous for! Rock out with bands such as 8 Bit Weapon, The Brisitsh IBM, Compute Her, Evilwezil, and prepare yourself for the comedy of Keith Apicary.

Be sure to set aside time to walk through The Video Game History Museum. The Video Game History Museum will be exhibiting nearly 7,000 square feet of rare items like prototypes, limited-release items, accessories, and memorabilia.

If you are a fan of cosplay be sure to bring your best for the cosplay events at CGE! This year will feature a cosplay contest with prizes, including the grand prize of $250. Registration is now open on the CGE website http://cgexpo.com/cosplay.php

What?

A guy with a friend on the board and 31 posts wants you to come out to an event.

What's the big deal?

Been on the board 2 years, been a Subaru nut since 79 when I saw a Brat outside my elementary school, owned SVX powered XT6, jet powered XT6, 12in lifted Brat, 4in lifted baja, 500whp STi daily driver, stock Brat, and currently a lifted Brat and lifted Baja, so my Subaru cred is pretty solid.

I am also a retro gamer and have an average of 60 pinball and arcade games in my collection, I am running this gaming expo out in Vegas and thought I would share the invite, posting out latest press release seemed like an efficient way to do that. Not trying to Spam anyone. Subarus and games go great together;
