a/c condensate drain

Post by oldpro »

Here in New Mexico we call it a "Dry heat." While driving during a recent 102 degree day enjoying the cool from my a/c, I heard water sloshing! Somewhere on the right side behind the dash. Usually when I park there's a wet spot or puddle underneath where condensation drips. Not so after this experience. It's difficult to get underneath to check out the drain tube to see if it's blocked, or to just push a wire or something up it to unclog it. Anybody have a photo from underneath so I can see where to probe? Any possibility that if I take out the glove box and open the ducting where the cabin air filter is that I might find water? Can the drain tube's upper end be probed that way? Anything you can recommend to help a real old guy fix this?
