Oem bed cover removal

Post by Lionix1 »

I removed the OEM bed cover to sell it, but cant get the front part off thats bolted to the bed. Bolts are removed and the sticky is off, but it wont budge. Any ideas?

Could you be more specific? If this helps, here's the installation guides for both the soft cover and hard cover:
Hard: https://www.scoobytruck.com/pdf/2003MY_ ... I_with.pdf
Soft: https://www.scoobytruck.com/pdf/2003MY_ ... te_IxI.pdf

Thanks to both of you for this thread!

When I bought my Baja from the original owner it had all of the holes drilled that were shown in the installation instructions, but I didn't know what they were for. I, obviously, didn't receive the OEM cover and was guessing that maybe they were for a topper. The attachment rails must have been removed at some point too, since the car did come with the Snugtop hard cover, which I removed and sold to another member on here. I kind of felt the Snugtop turned the Baja into a less convenient Outback Wagon...

Thanks for inadvertently solving my mystery!

Now I just need to sell the cover. Apparently there is a market for them?

I don't think you'll have any issues there; bed covers and toppers always seem to get lots of responses in the FS section.
