I thought I read the recommended max is 1.5" to 1.75" of lift before things start wearing out faster... It'll likely work, but my guess is it'll accelerate CV joint wear. I haven't done it, so can't say for sure. Maybe a few others on here can give more insight.

Shouldn't bother steering parts much at all, ball joints and alignment maybe. As stated, many people do more than 1" without problems. That being said, make sure everything IS in good shape before you start.
