Hi Y'all
So it's time to replace the belt. What vender do y'all suggest? Some offer seals yet I'm at 105000 miles and don't believe that I'd need them. What do y'all think?

Re: Timing belt replacement
Might as well do your water pump and cam seals while you are in there

Re: Timing belt replacement
Have you had your head gaskets done yet? That's the big one for the Baja as they seem to go out like clockwork after 100,000 miles.
Re: Timing belt replacement
I just did mine, I used the Gates TCK307 Timing Belt Kit andWhat vender do y'all suggest?
Aisin WPF-002 Engine Water Pump, dang it's the best way to save on money without compromising quality, in my opinion.
I took many detailed pics of each item and matched up the OEM part to the Gates and Aisin part and found they were the same qaulity.
Re: Timing belt replacement
I may not be to popular with this, but I have owned several Subaru's on the years. I always do just the timing belt, no tensioners or pulley's. Always get over 200k and have only done one water pump on my 2.2 with 385K on it. I did the cam and crank seal on that one then. Most have a coolant weep from the pump but never turned into a leak. I use gates belts from the local parts store.
Re: Timing belt replacement
03 Bajas had problems with the head gaskets just like all the old subies. They fixed the problem in 04 so anyone after 03 shouldn't need to do them at 100k.
