Baja price question....Canada

Post by Thanev »

Looking at 2003 Auto Baja.Dealership brought up-to-date with needed maintenance/service including suspension,waterpump/timing belt....etc.Interior clean,a few door-knocks to exterior
155,000 km.No visible rust.Asking 15,000 CAD

Thoughts?
Thanks!

No idea on the market up there. I just bought my 2003 this year with around 97,000 miles, clean interior, updated service, and a scrape along the rear passenger side panel for $7,900 USD.

From my point of view the price sounds high.

Good luck on everything.

Not sure what Canadian service does this but below is a link to Kelley Blue Book for 2003 Bajas for sale in the US. Just to give you some price comparisons.

Asking prices are all over the place. I think if you can settle for 12,700 CAD you would be getting a good deal. Again though I'm no expert on this and only recently joined the Baja club. :D

Passed on the Baja.Dealer's personal vehicle, unwilling to budge on price, and the only things warrantied are what work they did(ie:waterpump, timing belt ).
Most other dealers I spoke to give a 3 mos./5000km power training warranty.Time to walk away.

Thanks for the update and sorry it didn't work out. I think it was a good pass as they weren't willing to move on price.

Some people think that if there aren't many out there they can charge more.

FYI ANYBODY. Passing this on. In the Tampa Bay area (Florida USA) there is an 05 automatic, all blue, with 225,000 miles, just redone engine top end anmuch more and he's asking $4,300.00 (U.S. dollars). NOT MINE. Here's the link: https://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/cto/d/ ... 03205.html

EDIT: Apparently it sold. No longer listed. Someone probably got a good deal.

Can't speak for availability in the great white north but if 16k ca = 11k us then it's a bit overpriced for my area... a big bit. but that's also the dealership markup. up on maintenance helps but with admitted cosmetic damage, auto, that age, and that kind of mileage, oof
